Upgrading to Version 2.4
Version 2.4 changes the database to USDA SR20 and removes manually added restaurant data for Burger King, KFC, McDonalds, Long John Silvers, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Arby's, Subway, Wendy's. This data was manually entered for version 1.3 but has proved unmaintainable..
Going forward we will only update the database from the USDA database and other sources that can be automatically updated, restaurant data which changes frequently and is difficult to update will no longer be included.
If you wish to continue using the restaurant data from the previous version (2.3) you can download a master database with USDA SR20 + previous restaurant data and manually replace the 2.4 database by following these instructions:
- Download db.zip, the 2.4 + previous restaurant data database
- Stop DietOrganizer if it is already running.
- Unzip the downloaded file, db.zip, over the 2.4 master database at C:\Program Files\DietOrganizer 2.0 (ie replace db.cfg)
- Re-start DietOrganizer, the combined file will be loaded.
