Q: I cannot register the product
with the registration code supplied, it keeps coming up with 'Invalid
Registration Code'
A: The unlock key is linked to every character of the user
name on the registration details, so you must enter the user name
exactly as given.
Additionally, for the Palm, the registration code
is linked to every character of the name and hotsync name so both
must be correct on your registration. If the hotsync name on the registration
screen is not the one you supplied when purchasing then email support@dietorganizer.com
with the correct hotsync name and we will generate another unlock
key for you.
Q: On the BlackBerry, how can I backup
my data to the PC?
A: You need to backup the Device database named 'RMS Databases'
(this is all databases created by Java applications) in the Blackberry
Desktop Manager 'Backup and Restore' option, you can use the Advanced...
button to selectively backup/restore just this database.
Q: On my BlackBerry Pearl the option
buttons are not working correctly?
A: This is a known bug with some Blackberry Pearls that affects
all Java programs, I'm afraid there is no work around other than an
operating system upgrade from RIM, other users have been able to upgrade
successfully.
Q: The Palm version of the program
has no foods in the database?
A: This happens if you don't load the database files into
main memory, re-install the .pdb files to the device main memory and
you will be able to see the foods/exercises etc.
Q: When I try to install the Windows
Mobile (Pocket PC) version I get an error saying the program was designed
for an earlier version of Pocket PC?
A: You should be able to ignore this message, it's just warning
you that the program was compiled for an older version (newer devices
can have higher screen resolution, this can cause some software to
fail) but DietOrganizer does work fine with PPC 2003 and Windows Mobile
